Marvel’s Thunderbolts didn’t exactly dominate the box office, but it’s still one of the more intriguing entries in the MCU’s recent lineup. It brought Sentry into the spotlight-arguably one of the most powerful and mysterious characters in Marvel comics-and teased major developments for the franchise moving forward. If you missed it in theaters or want to revisit it at home, you won’t have to wait much longer.

Digital and Blu-Ray Release Dates
Thunderbolts will be available to buy digitally starting July 1, 2025. If you’re more into physical media, the 4K UHD, standard Blu-ray, and DVD editions will land a few weeks later on July 29, 2025.
There’s also a collectible SteelBook version on the way. It’s designed with a New Avengers-style aesthetic and comes in a pop-up case featuring custom cover art. Marvel hasn’t confirmed the final retail price yet, but based on past releases, it’ll likely sit somewhere between $45 and $60, with Walmart expected to offer it for around $35.
What’s Included in the Blu-Ray Release?
Marvel’s packing the home release with a solid batch of extras, giving fans a deeper look at the film’s behind-the-scenes moments and character work. Here’s what’s included:
- Deleted Scenes – Unseen footage that didn’t make the theatrical cut.
- Assembling a Team to Remember – A featurette with cast interviews on what it was like building this unconventional group of characters.
- Around the World and Back Again – A look at the locations used during filming, and how they shaped the film’s tone and scale.
- All About Bob, Sentry & The Void – A closer look at three of the film’s most important characters, all played by Lewis Pullman.
- Gag Reel – A fun collection of outtakes and bloopers from the set.
When Will It Be on Disney+?
There’s no official Disney+ release date yet. Marvel has confirmed the movie is heading to the streaming platform, but didn’t say when. Based on typical release windows, it’s a safe bet that Thunderbolts will start streaming sometime in August 2025.
