Streaming on Paramount+ since May 30, Mobland is a gripping new series directed and produced in collaboration with Guy Ritchie. The show offers a fresh perspective on organized crime, exploring the inner workings of its characters’ psyches rather than focusing solely on destructive violence. One of the series’ standout elements is its star-studded cast: Tom Hardy leads as Harry Da Souza, the clever and composed fixer—a classic Guy Ritchie character blending dark humor with menace. Hardy brings to life a man who can manipulate and deceive with just a few words and a magnetic stare.

Joining him is the ever-impressive Helen Mirren as Maeve Harrigan, a calculating matriarch who rules with intellect and ice-cold authority. Pierce Brosnan also delivers a formidable performance as Conrad Harrigan, the fearsome and charismatic patriarch. Together, this trio creates a show that walks a fine line between elegance, ruthlessness, and sharp wit.
But what actually happens in the season finale?
Mobland: What Happens in the Finale?
Surprising Twists in the TV Series
Episode 10 of Mobland brings the violence expected of a mob drama, but rather than offering a tidy conclusion, it marks the beginning of a new chapter. Titled The Beast in Me, the finale reinforces Harry’s unshakeable loyalty and leaves plenty of loose ends, hinting at even more dangerous battles to come in future seasons—possibly a third. That is, if he survives being stabbed in the chest by his wife… but we’ll get to that.
If you’re expecting all the pieces of Mobland’s puzzle to come together in the finale, you’ll be left wanting. Yes, there’s carnage, yes, there’s death, and the status quo has certainly been upended—but the story is clearly just getting started. That’s not a bad thing. In fact, it sets Mobland apart from similar shows. We’d rather see Guy Ritchie continue crafting this gritty crime world than work on less compelling series like Fountain of Youth.
Kevin’s Rediscovery
A major theme in the finale is Kevin Harrigan’s self-realization. After confronting one of his personal demons, he undergoes a transformation. Kevin visits his father Conrad in prison—not just to inform him about Rusby, but to declare his intent to take him down.
The truth is, Kevin never had control over his life. Conrad dictated every aspect, even stealing his wife, his “son,” and his sense of self-worth. Now, Kevin wants to reclaim it all. Paddy Considine and Pierce Brosnan shine in these scenes, delivering performances thick with tension, rage, and resentment. The message is crystal clear: Kevin is the new head of the family. And when Conrad inevitably gets out of prison, he’ll be returning to a world where he no longer holds power. Worse still, Eddie will be his problem to deal with.
Mobland’s Latest Episode Reveals the Spy

In a pivotal moment, the season finale reveals the long-hidden spy: Conrad’s lawyer, O’Hara Delaney. Harry hatches a complex plan involving three key locations:
- O’Hara’s office, where Richie often meets her.
- A countryside safehouse where Bella, Jan, Gina, Eddie, and Seraphina are hiding.
- The Sinful Monkey, Richie’s pub and base of operations, where he invites O’Hara to finalize a counter-ambush.
Richie assumes Harry’s trap is set at O’Hara’s office, so he sends men there. Simultaneously, he dispatches another crew to wipe out the remaining Harrigans at the safehouse. But Harry anticipated this. Paul plants a bomb in O’Hara’s office, Kiko and Zosia defend the safehouse, and Harry and Kevin head to the Sinful Monkey.
The resulting bloodbath ends with Richie and O’Hara both dead—killed by Kevin and Harry respectively—and tragically, Kiko also loses her life.
No, the War Is Not Over
The threats are far from gone, largely due to Maeve and Conrad. While imprisoned, Maeve calls Eddie in and reveals the truth about his lineage, trying to convince him that Harry and Seraphina are conspiring against the family. She orders him to kill them both. But being a coward at heart, Eddie’s first move is to try to strangle his own mother—until Kiko and Zosia intervene.
Though he fails, Eddie’s rage is ignited, and he now sees Harry and Seraphina as enemies. This sets the stage for Season 2, as Eddie vanishes from the narrative shortly after—hinting at a larger problem still looming. Maeve and Conrad are far from powerless and are ready to stir up even more chaos.
A Story of “Happy” and Dysfunctional Relationships
As the series progresses, Mobland becomes a tale of twisted, dysfunctional, yet oddly “happy” relationships. There’s Conrad and Maeve, of course, and now Kevin and Bella finally come together. Bella had known about Rusby because Kevin talks in his sleep, but Kevin didn’t know Bella had been sexually abused for years by her father—something that drove him to conspire with Antoine to ruin her.
You could also count Eddie and Gina. Gina is clearly tired of living in fear, constantly on the move, surrounded by death, but she still falls for Eddie—or hides behind him—when things get rough.
And what about Harry and Jan? After Harry kills a mobster without flinching, Jan becomes emotionally overwhelmed. While chopping carrots, she accidentally cuts herself. When Harry moves to help her, she panics and stabs him in the chest. It’s clearly an accident, and she regrets it immediately—but the wound could prove fatal.
Season 1 Ends with Everything Up in the Air
Mobland Season 1 closes with Harry’s fate uncertain, Jan in shock, and Conrad still behind bars—yet growing in influence among fellow inmates. The war is far from over, and the power games are just heating up.
