Grounded 2 Mutations and Perks

Dear, you get mutations in Grounded 2 when you complete some specific tasks in the game. These mutations give you buffs for different playstyles like advantage in combat, boost in exploration, or resistance in survival.

Not all mutations are visible in the beginning. As you play the game, new perks are unlocked.

Grounded 2 Mutations Categories

There are total 4 categories:

  • Fighting Styles
  • Combat Abilities
  • Exploration
  • Survival

Every mutation is either passive or active, and some give up to ten perks. So let’s try them one by one.

Fighting Styles

Fighting Styles

The unlock system is simple:

  • Tier 1 = 40 creatures
  • Tier 2 = 100 creatures
  • Tier 3 = 200 creatures

Only the last hit should be with that weapon — not the entire fight.

  • Little Fist – When you kill creatures with fists
    • Perk: Every hit gives a stack, charged attack releases all stacks together — heavy damage
  • Smasher – Kill with clubs
    • Perk: Club increases stun power
  • Javelineer – Kill with spears
    • Perk: Thrown spear gives more damage; some damage bounces back on the attacker
    • Spear Master (Tier 3): Charged attacks do more damage
  • Assassin – Kill with daggers
    • Perk: Daggers/sickles have more crit damage
  • Sharpshooter – Kill with bows
    • Perk: Fully charged shots = higher crit chance
  • Blademaster – Kill with swords
    • Perk: Sword attacks reduce enemy damage for a short time
    • Sword Master (Tier 2): Stamina timer is temporarily removed while attacking with a sword
  • Whittle Wizard – Kill with staves
    • Perk: “TBD” now — i.e. more to come
