Grounded 2 Beginner’s Guide | Tips & Tricks

Dear, Grounded 2 is a survival game where you try to live in a small world amidst big bugs, limited food and water. Training mode will help a little, but the real struggle begins after that. Don’t worry – this guide will make your journey easy.

Keep an eye on Dew Drops

1. Keep an eye on Dew Drops

First of all – water. It is rare to get clean water in the game. Dirty water is available from ponds but it is harmful for health, so try to avoid it unless absolutely necessary.

Best option? Dew drops. Shiny water drops are available on top of the grass in the morning. Hit the drop on the stalk, the drop will fall down, go and drink from it. Sometimes you have to run a bit, but it is worth it. Morning is the best time, the sun rises and the rain disappears.

Just be careful, if the grass is near the pond, the drop can go into the water and get wasted. Break it carefully.

Build a Lean-to, stay safe

2. Build a Lean-to, stay safe

When you get killed in Grounded 2, you respawn again. But if you have built a Lean-to, then that can become your respawn point.

Build a Lean-to, interact with it as if you are going to sleep, and do “Set Respawn Point”. When you are going to a new area or a big fight is expected, making a lean-to is the best idea. There is no need to build a complete base, just a lean-to is enough.

This saves time and also reduces tension when you die.

3. Trail Markers = Your Personal Map Memory

There is something interesting everywhere in the game – a blocked tunnel, a secret wall, or a treasure spot. But there is only one custom marker on the map, so it can be quite confusing.

So, use Trail Markers. They are found in the Build Radial menu. You can place them anywhere, and by choosing the color and icon you can remember what the marker means. These markers are visible around you and also appear on the map.

In simple words, you will not miss anything important.

4. Ride on the buggy, fight smartly

Your soldier is not just there to ride in the buggy, he is also a full-time fighter. When the fight starts, get off the buggy. You suffer more damage when you attack on your own, and the worker will also come to help.

Soldier Ant can never die, if his health gets low, he goes to his own nest to heal. Worker Ants can die, so they have to be taken care of.

And yes, what else does the buggy do?

  • It has its own inventory
  • It can collect items on its own
  • It can haul 12 grass planks or weed stems

Meaning one buggy = best friend + hauler + fighter (all in one).

So dear, it is difficult to survive in Grounded 2, but smart gameplay is also a lot of fun. Just keep exploring, keep taking lean-tos, and make the buggy your solid partner.
