Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred – Find All 30 Tenets of Akarat

In Vessel of Hatred, a new collection quest in Diablo 4, you can find all 30 Tenets of Akarat. This guide will show you where to find them, how to activate them, and what rewards you’ll earn for collecting them.

Exploring Nahantu and Collecting Tenets

Exploring Nahantu and Collecting Tenets
On this map, we’ve marked all 30 Tenets of Akarat with a red dot.

The Vessel of Hatred introduces a new region, Nahantu, where you can find overgrown shrines containing Akarat’s Tenets. Instead of searching the entire jungle, use our map to find all 30 Tenets in the quickest way possible.

You don’t have to collect them all at once. You can either follow our map and gather each Tenet one by one or gradually collect them as you explore Nahantu and complete quests. Focusing solely on this task is the most efficient way to finish, but you can combine it with your leveling and side quests for smoother progress.

How to Activate the Tenets of Akarat

Once you find a Tenet statue, you’ll need to activate it by clearing vines and solving puzzles involving nearby lion statues. There are four different ways to activate the Tenets, depending on the statues:

  1. Defeat nearby enemies: When the Stone Lion Guardians glow red, eliminate all enemies around the Tenet.
  2. Quick activation: If the statues glow green, activate three Lion Guardians quickly in sequence.
  3. Activate in the correct order: When the lion statues are gray with glowing dots, activate them in the right order.
  4. Find the right statue: Search the area to identify which two statues need to be activated.

Pay attention while solving the puzzles, and once the vines are cleared, click on the Tenet to collect it.

What Are the Tenets of Akarat?

This is what the Tenets of Akarat look like once you’ve freed them from the overgrowth.

The Tenets of Akarat are statues hidden throughout Nahantu, usually found in niches and small areas guarded by enemies. You’ll need to defeat these enemies before accessing the statues. Similar to the Lillith statues in the base game, these are smaller and can be easily missed due to their overgrown appearance.

Rewards for Collecting the Tenets

Each Tenet you collect grants 10 reputation points towards your progress in Nahantu. The reputation system works similarly to other areas in Diablo 4, unlocking rewards at five levels:

  • Level 1: 1 skill point
  • Level 2: +1 potion capacity
  • Level 3: 1 skill point
  • Level 4: 4 Paragon Points
  • Level 5: +80 obolus capacity

Earning skill points at levels 1 and 3 is particularly valuable, helping you improve your build and grow stronger. This also speeds up your leveling. If you’ve already unlocked reputation rewards in the main game’s regions, your new characters will start with bonus skill points, making it easier to begin on harder difficulties. This is especially useful for players leveling additional characters.

In addition to skill points, you’ll also gain potion capacity and obolus storage, enhancing your character’s versatility and survivability.

Special Reward: What Do You Get for Collecting All 30 Tenets?

After collecting all 30 Tenets of Akarat, you’ll earn a special reward—a new mount. This isn’t just any mount; it’s a majestic lion, symbolic of Akarat, the great lion spirit. Riding this mount will make you stand out in Sanctuary, so be sure to finish the task if you want to add this unique reward to your collection.

Who Is Akarat?

Akarat was once a mortal who became a spiritual leader, spreading the belief in the light of humanity and battling darkness. After his mortal life, he was honored as a revered spirit, represented by the lion statues you encounter in Nahantu. His Tenets symbolize his teachings and the faith in light that he championed.

By collecting the Tenets of Akarat, you not only strengthen your character but also gain a deeper understanding of this important figure in Diablo 4’s lore.
